My favorite pistol nicknamed the "Trouble Shooter" is a Kimber Stainless .45acp 5" TLE/RLII fitted with a Kimber stainless extended magazine well and a Wilson Combat 8 round magazine.  I use a number of Kimber 7 round, Kimber 8 round, and Wilson Combat 8 round magazines with out failure.  This particular Kimber however, does not like Chip McCormick 10 round power mags. I returned the magazine to the factory who replaced the spring with the more powerful power plus+ spring however the performance results remained inconsistent and unsatisfactory.

I've shot close to 500 rounds with this pistol, the tritium night sights are easy to pick up and align in any situation, smooth trigger pull, slim profile (a bit heavy in weight), and relative soft recoil make it by far my favorite for a day at the range.  Until recently it was my daily carry (a position now held by the Ruger LCP).  However, it remains my "go to" pistol when planned activities suggest it would be prudent to be escorted with additional firepower.

At the same time I also purchased the .22 cal conversion kit for the Kimber. This allows one to refine their pistol shooting techniques without breaking the bank. I use Avery 6730 Colored Reinforcement Labels to change the front sight from black to in this case red.  It's much easier to align the sights in the light challenged shooting bays at PopGuns.

Daughter's "Little Plinker", this is a .22 cal 6" Beretta U22 Neos, similar to gun we rented at PopGuns (her first experience shooting a pistol).  The price of the gun rental, range ammo, and range time, made purchasing one of her own an easy decision.

This is also the gun she used to kick my tail at a recent Friday Nite Steel Shootout at Marion County Fish and Game.

Browning Hi-Power Mark III - 9mm

After meeting Rayman window shopping the pistol cases at the Castleton Gander Mountain store, later spending an afternoon discharging firearms from his collection, this was my first pistol purchase.  It was if the Lord via John Browning's design said "This is the pistol for you".  A comfortable grip for a smaller hand, good balance and overall weight, a breeze to clean, and fairly cheap to shoot.  Shown with aftermarket Pachmayr Grips (B-HPCG Combat Gripper w/backstrap).  This has become Ron's favorite pistol to "borrow" at the range.

Browning Silver Hunter

The first firearm I purchased.  After years of shooting sporting clays with the guys at Indiana Gun Club constantly borrowing someone else's gun at the range, I finally broke down and purchased my own shotgun; this was the first step in the great adventure (one of the best decisions I've made).

Primarily the home defense shotgun, it also occasionally finds it way to the Indiana Gun Club, for a little exercise.

I equipped it with aftermarket-  ATI M4 Style Adjustable Tactical Stock, Mossberg Heatshield, Surefire Tactical Light  and a Lasermax laser.

This gun was purchased used with a standard stock from Bryce Curry at Premier Arms Brownsburg IN.
